Thai Tam

This is quite an oddity. There are a whole range of expensive restaurants in the north side of the road leading from Azabu crossing up to Roppongi but not so many cheaper places (a few though). This is certainly one of the cheaper places - in fact excellent value Vietnamese restaurant. This is very informal, but quite clean neat inside. Not suitable for business but certainly OK for a low cost fairly quick meal. The JPY2,800 course menu was just incredibly good value for money - including salad, two types of harumaki and the typical bowl of noodles. Not in the top tier but great for a credit crisis dinner.

Very hidden away - more as if you are going into some office building rather than anything else and not large. Second road on the right past Konpachi and then take the first right and then its on your right - but pretty difficult to find if you havene been there.

Hiroshima Building 1f 1-11-13, Nishi Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0031
Tel 03 3479 0658 and while not the sort of place you would normally make a reservation, probably OK to do so.
11:30 to 14:30 lunch time, 18:30 to 22:30 last orders
